About
The students in MGT 420 (both sections) have decided to apply what they have learned about leading change and live the vision they created this semester by committing to increase the level of awareness of spinal cord injuries and to change the way one of their fellow students travels.Mike Parker suffered a spinal cord injury three years ago (you can learn more about his situation at www.spinalcordawareness.com ) and has taken a recovery strategy instead of an adaptive strategy to recover his body movements. We are going to help Mike get an adapted truck to help him accomplish his mission and we want you to be a part of that exciting event! The class formed the Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Association, developed its own website and has chosen the theme “Bury Mike’s Wheelchair.”The activities listed below will culminate in an auction on May 2, at 7:00 pm. We want you all to support this activity in anyway possible, from donating a truck to giving an encouraging word to your students. We will accept donations of goods or services to be auctioned. We will give more specifics later. These activities will be taking place over the course of the next two weeks:
